No-one Saw You...
Okay, on March 21st, there was a variety show at school. I was doing a dance with a friend and her older sister, and I was singing and dancing with my family. Well, my dance with a friend was third in the show. The song and dance with my family was like tenth. During my first performance, I took a spill onto the floor. Hardly anyone saw, because at the same point in the dance, we were supposed to do a spin on the floor and then stand up. That's when I fell. My wrist, hip, and knee hurt, but I finished the dance. Backstage, I was limping to the locker rooms to do a costume change. That's when I noticed I was bruised badly on my hip and knee. My friend's older sister got me ice, and I iced it until it was my turn again to sing and dance with my famiy. It hurt so badly that I could not dance, I only stood there and sang. My sister was sick, so all she did was dance and not sing. Too bad she couldn't lip sink... Oh, well. I looked dumb on stage. (People told me later that I looked like I was in pain...duh!) My mom wasn't happy that I got hurt. My sister was sick and I was hurt, so my mom had to do coffee grinders by herself! After the show, a ton of people, even if they didn't know me, asked me if I was okay. They said they were glad I finished the dance so I got to do my solo. At home, we put a splint on my wrist and a wrap on my knee. A doctor from the show looked at me and told me to go in for x-rays the next day. She worked at the Emergency Room, and said it was very busy. I'd have to go through the night. I woke up four times, and all because of pain. Well, my dad made me go to chuch. I wsan't happy about that. At least I didn't have to go to Sunday school after that. My dad drove me to the Emergency Room. The lady that checked me in told me I made her look bad, and that I was too pretty to be in the hospital. (My hair was still up from when I got it done professionally the night before, and I still had my make-up on. I was in too much pain to take it off.) The nurse was the lady who looked at me the night before. I laid on a tiny bed in a tiny room for over an hour. Then, we took x-rays. My hip and knee were just badly bruised, but my wrist was sprained. I have to wear a splint for a week or so. Not fun. To make things worse, I had a piano recital after that. It was hard to play with a splint on. I played slow and quiet. I hope things get better.
